🌟 HOW MIKKIE™ WAS BORN

Founder Hendrik saw children struggling to express their emotions. As a father and entrepreneur, he noticed kids spending more time behind screens and less time playing freely, creating, and connecting with nature.

He dreamed of a system combining the best of many worlds: the excitement of collectible cards, the magic of interactive storytelling, the power of outdoor play, and the depth of emotional learning. After months of research and prototypes, MIKKIE™ was born.

The number 7 became the heart of the system. Seven is a universal magic number found across cultures: seven days of the week, seven colors in the rainbow, seven chakras, seven wonders of the world.

For MIKKIE™, seven represents completeness and balance:

Scan the QR code on each spread to unlock 7 creative challenges: name the place, discover colors, feel emotions, choose cards, imagine adventures, write stories, and perform your creations.

The physical book stays pristine—no writing or drawing inside. Instead, children use the 147 physical cards (with AR magic!), their imagination, and their creativity to bring each world to life.

De Kracht van Moed en Passie

Mikkie is de held van het verhaal, een moedige jongen met een vurig hart. Hij vertegenwoordigt passie, actie, en de moed om te doen wat juist is, zelfs als het eng is.

🪨 2. Knoest – Aarde / Grey-Brown

Knoest is een wijze kabouter die in de aarde woont. Hij vertegenwoordigt geduld, stabiliteit, en het belang van wortels en fundament. Niet alles hoeft snel te gaan – soms is langzaam groeien het sterkst.

🦉 3. Ora – Lucht / Warm Beige

De Kracht van Wijsheid en Perspectief

Ora is een wijze uil die hoog in de lucht vliegt en alles van bovenaf ziet. Ze vertegenwoordigt wijsheid, perspectief, en het vermogen om de grote lijnen te zien.

💧 4. Bubbles – Water / Bright Blue

🌙 7. Dark Night Queen – Duisternis / Deep Purple

De Kracht van Acceptatie en Transformatie

Nyx is de Dark Night Queen en het meest complexe karakter. Ze vertegenwoordigt de moeilijke emoties: angst, verdriet, boosheid, en eenzaamheid. Maar ze leert ook dat deze emoties normaal zijn, dat het oké is om ze te voelen, en dat ze ons kunnen helpen groeien.

Voor MIKKIE™ staat het getal 7 voor volledigheid en balans. Elk kind heeft alle zeven krachten in zich: moed, geduld, wijsheid, vreugde, nieuwsgierigheid, focus, en acceptatie. Door met de zeven karakters te spelen, leren kinderen om al deze krachten te ontwikkelen en in balans te brengen.

Hendrik – Oprichter & Creatief Brein

"Blijf Altijd Kind. Onderzoek Alles. En Behoudt 't Goede – dat is mijn levensfilosofie en de kern van MIKKIE™."

Hendrik is de oprichter van MIKKIE™ en het creatieve brein achter het concept. Als vader, ondernemer, en levenslang leerling is hij gepassioneerd over educatie, emotionele gezondheid, en de kracht van spelen. Hendrik heeft ADHD, wat hem heeft geleerd om out-of-the-box te denken en om systemen te creëren die werken voor alle soorten breinen.

Zijn visie voor MIKKIE™ is simpel maar ambitieus: een wereld waarin elk kind emotioneel gezond en weerbaar opgroeit, met de tools om zijn dromen na te jagen en zijn emoties te begrijpen. Want als we blijven onderzoeken, blijven spelen, en het goede behouden, kunnen we de wereld veranderen – één kaartje, één missie, één avontuur tegelijk.
